I have always enjoyed the mountains and as a kid I where amazed by their vastness and glory. I always wanted to explore the hills I saw as a kid and my father was really patient with me. He works with construction and didn’t have much interest in wildlife before I grew up. He did however want to spend some time with me and to enjoy the woods and hills became our thing. We used to go out to an nerby hillside and climb as good as we could when I was a child. When I turned 16 we started to visit the Windermere Lakes, which has high and beautiful mountains to venture up on. This tradition have grown more and more into a great opportunity to spend some time together, in this hectic world is good to have a 20 year tradition to lean on when making time form something recreational. My passion for the mountains maybe doesn’t burn as bright as it did when I was a child, but to enjoy and spend time in the Windmere region gives me the same feelings as I had back then.
Thank you dad for coming along with me every year <3 With love – Lucy from London
